The idea of making a pilgrimage to holy places is almost as old as Christianity itself.  Speaking from our own experience, there is hardly anything more exciting and spiritually fulfilling than making a pilgrimage through the churches, monasteries, and other holy places in Egypt and the Holy Land.

However, pilgrimages are possible in many other places, too.  All the Orthodox lands of the Balkans and Eastern Europe, as well as many Roman Catholic sites in Western Europe and the Holy Land, have literally hundreds of wonderful places for the devout (and even not so devout!) believers to go for spiritual growth and enrichment.  Whether you are planning a trip that is strictly a pilgrimage, or just want to add a couple of sites to an existing vacation or business trip, the books, maps, and foreign language resources here will help you to plan your visit.  To make it easier for you, we've divided this part of bookstore into the following areas:
