The highlight of our bookstore will be the "Library
of Monastic Spirituality." A very carefully selected list of books, with reviews
and notes make up this library of essential readings from the Desert Fathers and other
monastic saints and teachers. We will continue adding to the list regularly.
We are also please to offer "The
Pilgrims' Page," which is devoted to resources for those who
might wish to make a pilgrimage to holy places of the Easter Churches
throughout the Middle East, Balkans, and Eastern Europe. With travel
guides, maps, and related information on arranging travel to monasteries
and holy places, this part of our bookstore will be especially helpful to
those planning a serious pilgrimage or just a side trip to a summer
vacation.
In addition to books, we are pleased to offer the "Library of
Monastic Music," a collection of CDs of Eastern Orthodox music and Gregorian
Chants. Such music is wonderfully relaxing and uplifting for the mind and soul -- it's
great to play in the background while working and reading!
